The Shelter Cat Series is a collection of risograph-printed illustrations celebrating shelter strays finding their forever homes! The series was inspired by my own rewarding experience this summer, when I caught five feral kittens in my backayrd! The kittens were extremely feral and required fostering and socialization before they could be ready for adoption through the no-kill shelter in my county. I was able to successfully prepare them for their next chapter! Two of them will be staying with my husband and I while the rest will be available for adoption soon!

This experience inspired me to create a series of cat-themed prints celebrating shelter animals, adoption and the unique personalities of each rescue cat! Each print combines my love of cats, art and my new skillset: risograph printing!

The prints will be available through my Etsy shop, where I will donate 50% of the sale to the ASPCA. Through this project, I’m hope to inspire people to consider shelter animals and help to support the organizations working 24/7 to give unhoused pets a second chance!
